About us

Angela Andrew

Angela's background is in music and dance. She won a scholarship for The Centre for Young Musicians and started lindy-hopping at the famous London Club 'Jitterbugs' in 1991. As an experienced youth worker, she worked in various types of projects for 12 years before taking time out to travel the world teaching and performing. She has taught with Frankie Manning and performed with The Rhythm Hots Shots.

Angela's crazy sense of humour is evident not only in her dancing but also in her teaching. She likes things that are bizarre or quirky. She loves languages.

Grace Sentamu

Grace was introduced to lindy-hop in 2000 as a mission of mercy in support of a friend and has not looked back since. She is an experienced youth worker and course facilitator. She studied ballet and the cello.

Grace has an infectious laugh and personality. Loves the colour pink. Is the proud owner of "various" killer heels. As a dancer she is exciting with her trademark "jazz-hands". She looks to Nelson Mandela for inspiration.

Malvina Dunne

Malvina discovered lindy-hop in 1991. She has a diploma in Performance and Dance Studies (distinction) from Birkbeck University of London. She has taught at the Herrang Dance Camp in Sweden and a founder member of The Jitterbugs Jammers Dance Troupe.

Malvina modesty is charming. She owns a Yamaha RXS100 and is passionate about all things retro. Her no fuss approach to life is apparent in her dancing. One of her roles models is Dr Maya Angelou.
